The LN-piggy is a piggy bank for satoshis, built after the open-source Lightning Piggy project: a small device with a display that receives payments over the Lightning Network and shows the balance right away. Grandma sends 500 sats for a birthday, the piggy shows them, and the child watches the savings grow. For kids it is the most tangible way into "satoshi is money", and the parents learn along the way.
How it works: the piggy is set up via web flasher in your browser (lightningpiggy.github.io), no software to install. Behind it you need an LNbits wallet, either on your own server or with a provider you trust. For a first try there is the demo server demo.lnpiggy.com; sats there count as lost, it is for testing only. Access to the wallet stays with the parents.
Available in orange, green or red, each either without a battery (powered by USB cable) or with a battery for cable-free use in the kids' room. Case from the 3D printer, printed by us in Germany. Ships without a USB cable. If you get stuck during setup, we help by email.
